Richard Crowe's photo history of his
time with the U.S. Navy in Vietnam was
enthusiastically received. What Richard
thought could be presented in one program
will stretch to a second program on the same
subject for the History Group's June 6, 4:30 to
5:30 pm meeting in the Clubhouse Oakmont
Rooms 1 and 2. This second program will
cover U.S. and Republic of Vietnam Navy
operations on the Mekong River, life in
Saigon, and the return to Vietnam 50 years
later (2019). The audience was impressed
with the photos and the story telling, so do
make the interesting June 6 conclusion.

Tong Phouc Hai (right), 1970. Both Hung and
Hai recently passed away. In 2020, Richard
met some of the children (living in Southern
California) of Hung and Hai and shared his
photos and stories of their fathers.
