Question of the month: Have the rising interest rates slowed the market down? One of my neighbors asked me this question this week, and it is certainly a reasonable question right now; the increase in rates can translate into as much as an additional $250 on a monthly payment and it will impact how much buyers will qualify for. Buyers still want to buy; but how much house they can afford will likely be different than it was before the rates started going up. I actually have a question of my own this month… I am wondering if there are any other Koi fish enthusiasts who live here in the Four Seasons? It's always fun to talk fish! Interestingly enough, real estate is what led me to this hobby. I had sold a home and my buyers did not want the koi that were left in the pond; so I offered to go get them, which ended up not being as straightforward as I had anticipated! Ha! (It's a funny story, but too long for this publication.) I have had koi for over 21 years now, and might never have known what wonderful pets they are and how rewarding a hobby keeping them is if it wasn't for my "can do" attitude. Here are my water puppies and some new babies that just arrived! The spring and summer seasons are the busiest of the year in real estate, offering you more choices if you are hoping to make a move; there will be more homes to choose from and more people looking to buy if you need to sell a home first.
