Please put "Pets" in the subject line. Submitted by Carmie Fox In 2016 Rafael Hildago a resident at the end of Furyk Way constructed a flag pole to fly our American Flag on the mountain directly west of The Lodge. Rafael and his wife Lupita immigrated from Costa Rica in 1978 and became American citizens in 1989. Four decades later, his love of America can be seen with the addition of two more American flags. If you ever have a conversation with Rafael he will also include how lucky he and his family are to be living in America and always concludes with "God Bless America." In recent months, the flags were relocated a bit lower and to the east on the mountain side for easier access to allow for maintenance. Several residents have assisted with these flags since 2016 and Rafael is grateful to share the love of this country he calls home.
