46 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JUNE 2022 The Four Seasons "Crown Divas" held a high tea event at The Lodge on April 9. As members arrived, they had their picture taken on the Queen's chair. Red hats, feathery boas and smiles were the perfect way to set the mood. The room's decor was purple and red tablecloths with beautiful floral centerpieces made by members of the Crown Divas on each table. There were pretty tea pots, cups, and china dinnerware. The ambiance was inviting and magical. Diva Marion read high tea etiquette to us. Because of her lighthearted personality it was informative and humorous. Diva Jeanette recited, "Warning" a poem by Jenny Joseph. It's about a younger woman's thoughts. When she becomes an old woman, she shall wear purple with a red hat, which doesn't go, and doesn't suit her. This poem is the inspiration for Red Hatters. Well done, Jeanette! The delicious and beautifully presented traditional high tea of salads, sandwiches, and desserts was catered from the Four Seasons Kopper Kettle Bistro. See you then. ~ Joe Barletta, jmbarletta@hotmail.co The Four Seasons Rainbow Group continues in our mission to support the local residents who identify as LGBTQ+ and anyone else interested in our community. We usually meet on the 4th Thursday of the month in the Ballroom. We typically introduce any new members, share stories or news that might be of interest to the membership, occasionally hold potlucks, LGBT-themed movie nights, and will gladly entertain ideas from anyone. Our next event will be a general meeting on Thursday, June 23 at 6 pm. Several members often have dinner beforehand in the Bistro, so feel free to join us if you wish.
