| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2022 | 17 Sun Lakes Committee Reports The Restaurant & Lounge Advisory Committee is comprised of volunteers, each with varied skill sets and business backgrounds. Together we collaborate, brainstorm, research, and propose our findings, advice, and recommendations to the Master Board. Our focus is always on making SLCC more enjoyable for our members while enhancing revenue to "our" Restaurant and Lounge. June is in full bloom and our committee, in conjunction with Thomas our Restaurant Manager and Executive Chef Chris, have spent a thorough amount of time reviewing and creating new menus and a new comment card. Please, good or bad comments, let us know your thoughts and opinions. We can't help if we don't know. Mark your calendars for June and July and make your reservations early. I'm sure you've noticed how many more members are once again patronizing and enjoying our Restaurant and Lounge. We are ready to celebrate our fathers, dads, grandads and great- grandads on June 19. Chef has created a superb brunch menu that includes all the things Dads love. Check the flyers in the Main Clubhouse. I know linguine and clams or prime rib is definitely going to entice our dad… and the limitless dessert station — well, who can resist? Prices are just: adults $27.50 and $19.50 for Tweens and Teens age 10 – 17. Make your reservations now. OOPS! I almost forgot — you gotta try Matt's incredible cocktails: Daddy's Mule, The Old Fashioned Dad or a Beer-N-Shot for Pop — then toast dad! "Every Dad knows that one day his son will follow his example, not his advice" (Charles Kettering). "Dad, A son's first Hero, a Daughter's first Love." "Sometimes the poorest man leaves his children the richest inheritance." Wishing all dads a Very HaPpY Father's Day. Sun Lakes residents, it's time to rock your red, white, and blue! Independence Day calls for us to remember the true meaning behind the holiday. We are ready to celebrate with our barbecue featuring Angus burgers and Hebrew National Hot Dogs with all the trimmings including Chef 's incomparably delicious Eight Hour Baked Beans and Sun Lakes own homemade chips; they are incredibly crunchy and Ohhh SOOO good… just $17. In the spirit of Sun Lakes, enjoy a festive celebration cocktail: a 4th of July Red, White & Blue, a Lemon- Ade in the USA, or the All-American Margarita for $4 and $5. Call (951) 769-6654 for reservations. No other date on the calendar more potently symbolizes all that our nation stands for than the Fourth of July. "The essence of AMERICA, that which really unites US, is not ethnicity, or nationality or religion, it is an idea, and what an idea it is — that you can come from humble circumstances and do great things." (Condoleezza Rice) "America was built on courage, on imagination and an unbeatable determination." (Harry S. Truman) HaPpY Birthday America and HaPpY Holiday Sun Lakes Country Club. ~ Carole Elliott Restaurant & Lounge Advisory Library Advisory Shelving volunteers are needed for two half-hour shifts per month.
