28 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | JUNE 2022 |
At our April birthday luncheon, Jan Flammang provided us with
fun, playful headbands to welcome the spring season. We are a jolly
group! We had so many ladies at this luncheon we required two
tables in the restaurant.
The Make 'N Take project for May was crafting necklaces, assembled
with various fabrics, beads, and other bling. Half the fun of this new
addition to our meetings is coming up with our next venture. So
many fresh ideas from our crafty ladies.
There are numerous opportunities to photo-journalize your
memories. Whenever possible, be sure to snap pictures of your
adventures and document each photo with details of where, when,
and any other significant information about the pictures at the time
you are photographing. This will prove invaluable when putting
together an album or journal of your life's experiences.
Currently, I am working on a Heritage album, and two other
albums, from years past. Make that decades past. To attempt to
compile an interesting and informative album at this point in my life
is challenging. So many details have been forgotten and I regret not
having been more diligent about it at the time. Whenever possible,
be meticulous about saving memories of your vacations or other
life events that are important to you. Once assembled in a beautiful
format, it is a nice keepsake to have on hand to peruse and recall
wonderful times.
We continue to meet in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room
from 1 to 3 pm. Our June meeting schedule is as follows: Tues., June
7, and Mondays, June 20 and 27. Our June birthday luncheon will be
on Thurs., June 16. Watch for notification in your emails.
Please contact either Elaine Perkins at (951) 334-3119 or Sallie
Flesher (951) 902-9768 for more information. There is no fee to join.
