The Art League will be dark in June and will not hold a General Meeting. However, Luz Perez will be conducting classes in oil painting on Sundays, June 12, June 26, and July 10 from 12 to 3 pm in the Main Clubhouse Arts & Crafts Room. The deadline to sign- up for this class is June 5. Classes are $30 for members and $35 for non-members. Checks should be made payable to the Sun Lakes Art League. Contact Lori Worby Krebs at (909) 534-8049 for more information about this class. Open Studio Days will continue on Mondays in June, 9 am to 12 pm as well as on Sun., June 5, 12 pm to 3 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. Space is limited and will be offered on a first-come, first served basis. There is no host and no instruction, but time is allowed for artists to get together to work and share ideas. Fourth of July Golf Cart Parade – Come and help decorate our entry for this year's parade. Contact Judy Grant for the date and time. July Mindful Doodling Classes – These fun and artistic "doodling" classes will be held once again on Sun., July 17 and 24. The workshops will be taught by Lori Worby-Krebs from 1 until 3 pm in the Main Clubhouse Arts & Crafts Room for $10 per session. Contact Krebs at (909) 534-8049 to sign up. Art Walk – Mark your calendars for Oct. 15. Watch this space for more information about this exciting event that is free for residents and their guests. No prior experience is needed. Month-to-month sign up is allowed, so no lengthy commitment. We do have space limitations though. Right now there is room for a few more budding artists. If you ever wanted to play in the mud or learn to use the wheel, now is your chance. The cost is $70 per month and includes all supplies and materials needed. Just bring yourself and have fun.
