FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2022 65 We recently returned from the much anticipated Grand Canyon trip and on a scale of 1 to 10, I have to say it was indeed a 10. Five members (Terry Humble, Jim Ayala, Joe Bert, Scott Snyder, and Tim Mixon) made the five day run. Member Mark Leary was unable to join us for the five days but he was able to follow us by car for the first two days and we were happy to have him along. Our first day's destination was Laughlin. On day two we headed out for Tusayan, which is located just outside the Grand Canyon entrance. It had been years since I traveled the highways that took us through Kingman, Seligman, and Williams and I had forgotten just how beautiful this route is. On day three, we took a leisurely ride through the Grand Canyon and basically just kicked back and relaxed. Needless to say, the Grand Canyon did not disappoint. On day four, we said good- bye to the Grand Canyon and set out for Wickenburg. Our route took us through Flagstaff, Sedona, Jerome, and Prescott. Again, incredible scenery and lots of very fun, winding mountain roads. Day five was the last day of our motorcycle run and, like on most of our multi-day rides, we just wanted to get home and beat the heat. So, we were on the road just after 5 am and rolled into Four Seasons by noon — not bad. I should also mention that on days two and three we were joined by Rick Brower and his wife, Jamie. Rick was a long-time member of the Motorcycle Club (MC) before he and Jamie moved to Nevada. Even though it was only for two days, it was nice to get in some motorcycle miles with Rick again. A big thank you goes out to club president Terry Humble for planning the trip route and for ensuring that we got to ride through a lot of the beauty that Arizona offers. In fact, given that there is so much to see in Arizona, we are going back in October for what we are calling our White Mountain ride. This will be a four day ride scheduled for Oct. 3 through 6. Until then, the MC continues to go on weekly day rides. We set out on Thursday mornings for a ride that is usually 100 to 200 miles in length. Our normal departure time is 9 am but, with the hot weather now setting in, we will soon be moving up the departure time to 8 am. So, if you ride and think you may want to learn more about the Four Seasons MC, a good way is by joining us on one of our Thursday rides. Just make sure you confirm the departure time beforehand by calling Terry Humble at (909) 706-2298, Jim Ayala at (951) 392-6259, or Joe Bert at (909) 767-1484. As for what you ride, we aren't picky. Sport bikes, adventure bikes, cruisers, touring bikes, and trikes are all welcome. ~ Jim Ayala Motorcycle Club The gang plus guests taking a break in Kingman, Ariz., on our way to the Grand Canyon Enjoying the Grand Canyon views.
