This is the perspective from the Artist of the Month, Diane Gray: Rob Kelman's Mixed Media Art class is so enjoyable! There is something
about sitting down with other creative people who accept you at whatever level of skill you have. They appreciate what you are attempting to do,
and that makes whatever you're creating even more fun. Rob is a very gifted artist and teacher who helps us while at the same time lets us branch
off into whatever creative flow we are in at the time. In the painting (above) I tried using watercolors. This shows my husband and me sailing
on a summer day. Watercolors enable you to float colors on to the paper. As a result, they create many kinds of lovely reflections in the water. It
was definitely a learning process that I will keep trying. It is a joy to see what happens.
Classes are held on Mondays from 10 am to 12 noon and/or Wednesdays from 6 to 8 pm. There is a nominal $5 fee per person, per session.
