FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2022 63 TOPS Take Off Pounds Sensibly (TOPS) members have started a healthy lifestyle contest called "One Small Step." Our space-themed contest will last six weeks with rewards from our prize bag for the winners. Of course, we will all be winners as we attempt to earn points doing fun, healthful things. Members earn 10 points each week for trying a new low-cal recipe, eating a new fruit or vegetable, calling a friend to support, exercising for 30 minutes three times a week, finding rewards that don't involve food, staying hydrated, and complimenting fellow members on their progress. This month's "Thinner Winner" was Brenda Brazeal, with Johanna Ballard a close second. Congratulations! You may find that a group like TOPS can help you as well. We meet in The Lodge Ballroom on Tuesdays at 8:30 am. For more information, call Andi Henderson (918) 497-6491. ~ Andi Henderson Finally I started catching fish. I went cat fishing and caught my limit of five. They were all around three pounds. My wife immediately started to give my fish away. Went ocean fishing with my wife and right on cue she started to catch more fish than I did. The guys gave her the nickname Calico Queen. She caught more calico bass than anyone on the boat. She hooked onto a big yellow tail and fought it until it got into the kelp. We lost six yellow tail and a bunch of calico bass. We did catch a bunch of rock fish. For all of you who know about seafood, rock fish are great table fare. I have not been taking any fishing pictures lately, however that is going to change. I put two pictures in this article. One is of my fishing buddy Dennis Boozer with a catfish he caught. The other is my wife and the captain of the boat with one of the many calico bass that she caught. See above. If you ever wanted to go fishing, now is the time to do it. The weather is fantastic and the fish are biting. The only thing that keeps me from fishing is my wife telling me that I have other things to do. Tight lines to all of my friends and remember to always take your wife or girlfriend fishing. ~ Richard Carrasco Fishing Club
