We took a short rest after our "More Aloha from the Islands" show, and now we are busy learning new dances in preparation for upcoming performances within Sun Lakes and other venues outside of our community. The Makua Hula recently performed at a luau at the Beaumont Presbyterian Church and at a district party and the audiences enjoyed our performances. We had a lot of fun doing it. Summer is here and it is the time when all of us attend and plan BBQs, luaus, and district parties. Our group is available to entertain for any of your events. If you're interested in having us perform for you, or want information about our group, contact Perla Williams at (951) 467-8339 or at pearlyshellsdancer@gmail. com. Hawaiian dancing is a great form of exercise and if you enjoyed our dancing at our last show and think you would like to learn hawaiian dancing, please come on Wednesdays from 10 am to 12 noon at the North Clubhouse or on Saturdays from 8 to 10am at the Main Clubhouse and try it out. We are looking for new members who want to join a fun group who love hawaiian dancing, love to perform, and who want to share the comraderie of our group throughout the year at our social events. There are no monthly dues and a smile and a good attitude is all that is required. Under the leadership of Perla Williams, new members to hula dancing will be introduced to basic moves to get you started. If you are not interested in performing but just want to come exercise and learn how to dance, you're welcome to come by and try us out. You can still learn our dances without the pressure of performing on the stage and help support our group in other ways as needed. There is no better time to start hula dancing than now. We look forward to having you join us. ICC The Stardust dancers have re-vamped their program and are open to some new members. The new format will include more basic material instead of performance numbers. An emphasis will be made for those who want to line dance at social events and some very simple routines for events at Sun Lakes. No show material. Basic modeling will be included in the schedule as it is beneficial for all of us to present ourselves in the best possible way. If you are interested in getting a little more self confidence for social events, and making some new friends, come give us a look. Call Evelyn at (951) 845-7199 or (951) 616-4542. Men or women are welcomed. We will do some partner dances that can be done for recreation, or at a club event. Let's have some fun! Stardust Dancers
