Cheers to another Fourth of July we can celebrate together! This past June was a busy month with events and parties at The Lodge. The pace has definitely picked up. The Social Committee has been working overtime and has more to come in August with Hollywood Revisited and the Ohana Luau in September… and of course, they are already putting together another fabulous New Year's Eve. The Four Seasons Players have also been busy, first rehearsing for the June production and now their long-awaited show this fall. The Vintage Voices will be recruiting singers to join them for the Holiday Concert in December. Speaking of December, well actually Christmas in July (insert your eye roll here), by the time you read this article I, will have started to watch the Hallmark Channel's presentation of Christmas in July movies. It is always a cozy, soft landing after a day full of the harsh realities of this world and, even though my husband and my son try to tell me they already know how it will end (how could they possibly know?), I let my head fill with visions of sugar plums and gingerbread. Let's celebrate the occasion with a Toy Drive for the Valley Community Pantry! Bring an unwrapped toy to the donation bins located in the Multipurpose Room during July. I would have had JoAnn Sopata put an amazing Christmas tree up for me but I don't want to go too crazy. Instead, we can enjoy some of the trees that were displayed last Christmas (see photo inset). I hope you all will consider joining me as I sit in the audience as a proud parent at the Ramona Bowl's Summer Youth performance of Disney's Frozen on July 11 and 12. These kids have waited two years to finally do this production. Bring your grandkids or just come enjoy the fresh air and entertainment. Tickets are affordable and the sun dips behind the hills to make it comfortable. Thank you for indulging me… now let's get back to kicking up our heels with Music on the Plaza! 4 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | JULY 2022 | From Your Activities Director By Tracie Rodgers An HOA has many moving parts that keep the machine running. The Board of Directors may be the final vote, but the committees are filled with volunteers that also spend countless hours planning, preparing, and presenting. Each volunteer brings different strengths and experiences to the table to serve the community as a whole. They are personally invested in the continued success of this community as they are fellow homeowners in Four Seasons. In appreciation of the Library Committee, we recognize a group of individuals who have taken their love for something, rolled up their sleeves, and put their muscles where their heart is. This committee collects and organizes all the donations of books, puzzles, and magazines and they host author talks. During the time of the stay- at-home orders, once the Library was able to open, the volunteers got back to work. They sorted, sanitized, quarantined, rotated, and checked out the much-needed escape so many of us were desperate for: books, puzzles, and more puzzles. Masked and gloved, they went to work. Thank you for providing us with a clean, safe, and organized "travel" experience, if only in our minds. If you have ever reviewed a stack of financials and thought it was fun and made sense, I am sure the Finance Committee has a seat for you. This group of individuals combs through the stack each month and keeps everything balanced. We have several Ad-Hoc committees that don't meet on a regular monthly basis but only when needed. We would like to extend our appreciation to the Insurance, Nominating, and Rules & Regs Committees. These committees may not come with flowery titles and cute rhymes, but they are essential to keeping this community thriving and growing in a forward motion. Thank you for your continued dedication. We Appreciate Committee Volunteers Thank you!
