Before embarking on our Alaskan Cruise we spent a day in Seattle,
Washington to tour Chihuly Gardens and to view Seattle city from
the top of the Space Needle since they sit side by side. Although
the weather report called for rain all week, the sun broke through
long enough to see the breathtaking artistry of blown glass by Dale
Chihuly. If you love art and beautiful glass works, this is a must
see. Some art is displayed inside a building where the light can be
controlled and placed to enhance the art, and other instillations are
viewed outside among the gardens, intermingling with the flowering
bushes, adding to the overall beauty of the reflective glass art. As
for the Space Needle, it is just a view from above. Nothing special.
Nothing, in my opinion, as spectacular as the Chihuly Gardens.
