FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2022 43 It was a beautiful day for our July gathering. We had a great turnout with many spectators enjoying the beautiful cars and trucks on display. Gary Campanella and his wife Marlene Doyle arrived with "Steve" named after the "King of Cool" actor Steve McQueen. It's an absolutely stunning award winning 2008 black "Bullitt" Special Edition Mustang. Gary and Marlene have owned their Mustang since 2008. It was a very active month for our car owners. The Lakes Senior Living facility had their Fathers Day Car show. The Four Seasons Cars & Coffee group had a very respectful showing of 15 Cars. Gilbert Morales was an award winner. The Fourth of July Classic Car, 4 x 4, and Motorcycle parade started out as a fantastic showing of very patriotically-decorated vehicles. There were over 40 great looking cars, 4x4s, and motorcycles at the starting lineup. We proceeded in a very organized and steady pace. We were greeted by many of our residents waving flags and cheering. Due to an unfortunate miscommunication, we were only able to complete about three-quarters of the route. The Cars & Coffee, 4x4 Seasons Group, and Motorcycle Club offer their sincere apologies to the parade participants and residents who were not able to view and enjoy the entire parade progression. Actions are being taken that will prevent situations like this from happening again. Please join us the first Saturday of the month at 9 am at The Lodge parking lot. Our next meeting will be Aug. 6. We hope to see you there. For more information, please contact Frank Morales at (951) 203-4578 or fmoralesjrinc@aol.com or Rick Morales at (951) 797-3782 or onemth53@yahoo.com. Until next month, stay safe and healthy. ~ Frank Morales Cars & Coffee Our Book Club selection for Aug. 9 is Zoo by James Patterson. Here is a brief description from Amazon.com: "All over the world, brutal animal attacks are crippling entire cities. Jackson Oz, a young biologist, watches the escalating events with an increasing sense of dread. When he witnesses a coordinated lion ambush in Africa, the enormity of the violence to come becomes terrifyingly clear. With the help of ecologist Chloe Tousignant, Oz races to warn world leaders before it's too late. The attacks are growing in ferocity, cunning, and planning, and soon there will be no place left for humans to hide." Our meetings are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 9:30 am in the RCN room #3. A volunteer leads the discussion about the book we have chosen for the month.
