| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | AUGUST 2022 | 17
As summer heats up our Late Bloomers garden
enthusiasts head south and to the beach cities to keep
their cool. On July 15, we enjoyed our third visit to Grand
Traditions in Fallbrook where the shade of towering
plants allowed for lingering along garden walkways.
Lunch at the very popular Veranda Restaurant,
overlooking rolling green lawns and fountains, is always
a treat. On a yet to be determined date, a full day is
planned for Weidners Gardens & Meditation Gardens
in Encinitas. Lunch will be decided enroute by those
in attendance. Stay tuned to the community eblasts for
more details if you are interested in joining us for this trip.
Continuing to enjoy the vast creativity of our Members' gardens,
our meeting in June was hosted by Sherry Thompson. Inset is a photo
of one of Sherry's many gorgeous Hydrangeas. On July 11, Roberta
Feigenbaum and Mary Reyna showed off their many varieties of fig
trees and tomato plants. On Aug. 8 at 1 pm, Karen and Gene Hikel
will share with us their prolific fruiting plants. The address for this
meeting is 8405 Singh Court.
Also in August, Late Bloomers will participate in the
Ladies Club 'Country Fair' on Tues., Aug. 16 from 2 to 4
pm in the Ballroom. All residents of Four Seasons are
welcome to attend this first ever fun event! We look
forward to seeing you there and sharing our Garden
Club with you.
Late Bloomers normally meets in the Craft Room the
second Monday of every month at 1 pm. Until further
notice, we are enjoying meeting in the homes and
beautiful gardens of our host members. Stay tuned to
the Herald for future monthly locations, and upcoming trips.
Sharing gardening tips, traveling together, learning from each
other, and cultivating forever friendships are the blooms growing in
our gardens.
All residents are welcome to attend meetings and trips. For
