Question of the month: Are rising interest rates reducing the number of buyers looking for homes? Although interest rates have already risen significantly this year, it appears they will continue to climb. Readjustments from these higher rates will affect the loan amount a buyer is qualified for, the monthly payment amount they will pay, and for some it will require them to wait until prices or interest rates ease. Although things are changing on the lending front, sales activity remains strong. The summer is in full swing and I think we will all welcome cooler weather when it arrives!
