| LIFE IN SOLERA | SEPTEMBER 2022 | 3
FROM THE BOARD By Marcia Casem
We would like to welcome our new General Manager, Monica
Muñoz. Her first day with us was Aug. 22. Monica has spent 20 years
in the HOA management business. We are thrilled to have her at
Solera Oak Valley Greens and are excited about our future. If you
have not had the opportunity to meet her, please stop in the office
and say hello!
With that, thank you to Christine Rodgers for once again stepping
into our community and helping us to continue moving forward
with our business. We sincerely appreciate the extra duty she and
Keystone provided us by allowing her to work here onsite. Thank
you so much.
Last year's Board of Directors began a transition
toward being more open to the members. There
were more Open Sessions and fewer Executive
Sessions during the year. It's now a new year and
a new Board. People seem to think if you run for
the Board, you must have an agenda of your own
for whatever reason. I had an agenda both times
I ran. It was simple — Town Hall Meetings.
That was it. Now, we want to do just that. We have
scheduled two Town Hall meetings for September.
The first is with Dan Jaggers, General Manager of the
Beaumont Cherry Valley Water District (BCVWD), on
Sept. 7 at 2 pm and at 6:30 pm. He will make a presentation to us
about our current drought conditions and what we can do to help. He
will also discuss what BCVWD can do to help us. A second Town Hall
meeting is scheduled for Sept. 13 at 6:30 pm. This one is tentatively
about the plan Common Area Landscape Advisory Committee has
for a conversion of the greenbelt to drought-tolerant plants and
the design proposed. If we didn't have one in August regarding the
speeding and running of stop signs, we will soon.
We would like your input. Therefore, another Town Hall will be just
for the members. We want to know what you want. At this members-
focused Town Hall, we ask anyone who wishes to speak
to do the following:
Get a piece of paper and list the following:
Your name, your address, what you want to
see accomplished, why it is important to the
community, and any other information you can
supply. After you speak, this information will
be given to the Board. If you cannot do this
prior to the meeting, we will have paper ready
for you; however, we ask you complete it before
speaking. We want to hear what you say and want you to
get your thoughts across clearly and succinctly.
