On the eve of another Independence Day celebration around our great nation, a crisp new Old Glory flies proudly over our beautiful community.
I had my biggest group ever, 18 strong plus myself, go up to the flag pole to replace the wind-worn flag so that we had a bright and fresh new
flag overlooking our July 4th celebrations. One participant came all the way from Australia! Our intrepid hikers were Alan Lott, Tracy Logan,
Curt Keil, Darrel Kuhse, Alcia and Marita, Sharon Robinson, Barbara Williams-Duthoy, Tony Paradiso, Terry Harris (drone operator), John
Randel, Charlie Maggs, Ken Hurley, Drew Lowery, Brad Hinckley, Annette Lahr and husband, and ever-smiling Mora (sorry if I misspelled your
name). It was a pleasant and supportive group, and I think all enjoyed the adventure, some maybe more than others. I want to note a special
thanks to my dependable core group of Alan, Curt ,and Tracy who take key roles in carrying gear, first aid kits, and help anyone who is feeling
