DID YOU KNOW? DID YOU KNOW?
DID YOU KNOW that we have only three
speed limits within Sun Lakes?
1. 25 mph – This is on Country Club Drive and
Gleneagles and ONLY these two streets.
2. 15 mph – This is within the three Condo
Associations.
3. 20 mph – This speed limit applies to all other
streets including all the streets on the North Side.
So now you know. Even though you may not always
see a speed limit sign, if you are not on Country Club
Drive, Gleneagles Drive or in one of the three Condo
Associations, the speed limit is 20 mph. This pertains
to ALL motorized vehicles. Please keep this in mind
as you are traveling within our community.
DID YOU KNOW that vendor hours for any residential maintenance,
renovation/repair or deliveries are Monday through Saturday, 7:30 am to 5:30 pm?
Maintenance of the common areas and parts of the golf course, which is done by
Artistic, is Monday through Saturday beginning at 7 am. Golf course maintenance
that is done by Mark Burchfield's team starts at 6 am as they are getting the golf
course ready for play for the first tee time of 7 am. This includes, on a daily basis,
mowers on the greens, tee boxes, and fairways, power raking of the fairway bunkers,
setting the greens, and hand-raking the greenside bunkers. They are aware of the
noise factor and postpone the noisier activities until later in the morning. The
reason for these different start times is the scope of work. The common area and
golf course covers several acres of land and more time is needed to maintain these
areas. Sundays are the exception. Only the tee box and greens set up (flags and
markers) is done on the golf course. No other maintenance or repair work may be
done anywhere within the community on a Sunday unless it's an emergency.
