Golf Cart Club
It is with a heavy heart that I have to start this article on a sad note: we
lost an "angel" with the passing of Kevin Snider, who was one great guy and a
terrific "angel;" he will be missed. Keep Roxy in your thoughts.
July and August are slow months for the Golf Cart Club: no flag postings
and no parades. As I mentioned in last month's article, the Flag Angels' roster
continues to undergo changes. Of course, the retirements pale in comparison
to the loss of Kevin but six "Angels" retired after the 4th: Greg and Bev Rockvam,
Cecil and Debbie Frazier, and Debbie and Larry Foster. I am working on
replacements. Bob and Melissa Beebee have graciously volunteered to take up
Greg and Bev Rockvam's route. I hope to fill the others in the next few weeks.
I have always been impressed with the residents' willingness to step forward.
It's nice to have such enthusiastic volunteers to step up on short notice.
As you can see, I am in constant need of help, so if you want to help with the
Flag Angels, please call me at (951) 973-4149 or email me at mikemcla43@aol.
