Petal Pushers Garden Club By Jane Payne, Brenda Sindorf and Gloria Brosky
Our Tuesday, Sept. 27 meeting will start at 1:30 pm in the
Annex and the guest speaker will be Susan Cline, UCCE Master
Gardener and native plant enthusiast. She will be speaking
about "Creating a Colorful Garden Habitat with Low Water
Needs." Susan will explain the benefits of incorporating native
plants in your landscape and the importance of nectar and
host plants for butterflies and other pollinators. She will also
discuss what is needed to have a garden habitat that you will
enjoy and one that is also beneficial to the environment. After
the presentation, there will be time for questions and we will
be raffling off some native plants. Snacks will be provided, but
please bring a beverage of your choice.
If you have any questions, please contact Jane Payne at (909)
455-2253 or janepayne3@verizon.net.
After years of being on her own, Hannah thinks she has found the love
of her life in Owen Michaels, until he disappears, leaving her with his
teenage daughter and the cryptic note "protect her." From what or whom
does her stepdaughter Bailey need protection? But most importantly,
why did he leave them? The Last Thing He Told Me by Laura Dave takes a
unique look at family, loyalty and trust.
Join the Book Readers on Wednesday, Sept.14, at 10:30 am in the
