FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2022 65 It's been hot! The Four Seasons Motorcycle Club (MC) rides every Thursday and our normal departure time has always been 9 am. Well, this summer we decided to move the departure time up to 7 am and to choose routes that get us back home before 1pm. In other words, get out earlier to enjoy the cool morning temps and get back home well before things really start to heat up. What a difference! We recently rode to Temecula for breakfast via Hwy 79. Our route home took us up to Idyllwild by way of Hwy 79 then home going down Hwy 74. This was a 125- mile ride and we were home before noon. Perfect. Another route taken this summer has been to head to Crestline for breakfast via Waterman then head for home by way of Highland. This particular route is just shy of 100 miles but very scenic once up in the mountains. Julian is another destination point that still gets us back home before the peak heat. We'll continue to keep our 7 am departure time for a few more weeks. When things start to cool off we will go back to our normal 9 am start time. We will then start venturing out a little further when we are feeling a little more adventurous. Some of these longer rides include a leisurely ride through Joshua Tree National Park, or perhaps a loop around the Salton Sea with a stop at one of our favorite Mexican eateries in Brawley, or perhaps a ride to San Clemente for lunch on the pier. Lots of choices. If you ride and enjoy the camaraderie of group riding, please consider joining the Four Seasons MC. In addition to our weekly Thursday rides, we go on two or three multi- day rides. In May of this year, we rode to the Grand Canyon; this was a five-day ride. This coming October we will be going on a four- day ride to Arizona. Also, just know that we aren't picky about your type of ride. We have full baggers, cruisers and adventure bikes. Call us if you have any questions about the MC. You can speak with Terry Humble, Pres (909-706-3398) or Jim Ayala, VP (951- 392-6259) or Joe Bert, Sec (909-767-4484). ~ Jim Ayala Motorcycle Club Tim Mixon getting ready to jump At a construction stop in Anza.
