50 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2022
Our July event was Bunco.
The Crown Divas enjoyed
vigorous and fun rounds
of Bunco. You could hear
laughter, chatter, and good
humor between the Divas
as they threw the dice and
scurried from table to
table. There were plenty of
appetizers, refreshments,
and desserts provided by the
members. Just another fun
event and we look forward to
many more future events. ~

This is the perspective of the artist of the
month, Brenda Burdine. I started attending
Rob Kelman's Mixed Media Art class a year ago.
I had some drawing experience, but it had been
many years since I picked up any type of art
materials. Well, little did I know how much I was
going to learn! This class has taught me so much
and I know there's so much more in store. Rob
has a way of pushing you out of your comfort
zone and challenging you to think outside the
box. Yes, learning something new is not always
comfortable, however, the more knowledge you obtain the greater the reward.
I enjoyed drawing this southwest piece because of the architectural design and the uniqueness of the door that enters into the courtyard. I like
the different shapes and shadows that are captured, so I chose to use watercolor pencils and pastels for this drawing. If you're looking for a new
hobby, give the Mixed Media Art class a chance. You might be surprised at what hidden talent you may unveil.
Classes are Mondays 10 am to 12 noon and/or Wednesdays 6 to 8 pm. There is a nominal $5 fee per person, per session. If you have any
questions, call Rob Kelman at (951) 992-9156. ~ Rob Kelman
