52 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2022 Our study of 1 John, 2 John and 3 John concluded the end of August. Beginning at our Sept. 2 meeting, we will be introducing the Book of Proverbs in the Old Testament. Often Proverbs is only referenced periodically and when pertinent, but in this study we intend to learn about and interpret every verse in depth. There will be lots of class discussion, hopefully inspiring new thoughts and ideas about how to live our best lives for Christ. We meet every Friday from 10:30 to 11:45 am in The Lodge Game Room. All Four Seasons women are invited to come join us for this new and enlightening study. This is a non-denominational group, and any version of the Bible is acceptable. We hope you'll join us! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine, (951) 922-6829 or egcellent@msn.com "Believe…" Women's Bible Study Bereavement Group After a death there are many emotions that we experience. The feeling can be described as riding a roller coaster with its ups and downs and turns. Some people prefer to think of it as being like waves. Some are soft and gentle while others can knock you over and almost drag you into the ocean. These are normal and most people experience this over and over again through the grieving journey. One of the lowest points we feel is right after the death of our loved one. We can have a sinking feeling that we will never come out of this. We are in a type of daze in the beginning, doing what we need to do but not really sure how we did it after the fact. After a while, and this varies with each person, you may start to feel a little better and so the roller coaster kind of coasts and the waves quiet down. But be prepared, an anniversary, a song, a comment from someone, a look, can set you back on that roller coaster ride with its dips or on the heavy waves coming onto shore. This process will continue off and on possibly for a very long time. This is okay though. Each time you feel better, the better may last a little longer or be a little calmer. At the same time, each time you feel you are right back where you started, you are not. The dips and heavy waves are a little less. This is part of the process of grieving and of healing. It is an up and down, back and forth experience. THIS IS NORMAL. If however, you feel your reactions are outside what is "normal", or you think about hurting yourself or others, please contact your primary physician or insurance for a referral to speak with a professional. The Bereavement Group meets on Mondays from 1 to 3 pm in the RCN room #3.
