FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2022 7 By Cindy Graves What a crazy month July was for me! I ended up with sepsis and bacterial pneumonia from dental work and it nearly took me out. I was in the hospital for two weeks and then transferred to skilled nursing for another two weeks. The last two weeks I was convalescing at home. Oh my goodness, what a wild ride! I do have to tell you though, I was deeply and profoundly impacted by the love and support sent to me by my Four Seasons family through cards, gifts, flowers, and good wishes. I have never felt so humbled, so grateful, and so incredibly overwhelmed by your loving kindness. It really got me through some tough days. Once again, I was reminded that Four Seasons is by far the finest and biggest- hearted community out there. I love you guys more than I could ever express. Thank you so much. I also want to give a big shout out to my staff — what champions while I was gone. They all did such an awesome job holding down the Activities Department; great job! Now let's get a life! Hopefully by the time you read this, you have already purchased your tickets to the first ever "End of Summer Garden Dinner Party" on Sept. 2. This is going to be such a fun event showcasing the farm-to-table produce found this time of year. They'll also be having a nice musical ambiance with the Brad Malinowski Trio. Good job putting this together to Pat Wayne and the Garden Club. We hope that this is the first of many more to come. Don't miss the Quilt Show on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 10 am to 4 pm in the Ballroom hosted by the Four Seasons Quilting Enthusiasts. Last year everyone was so impressed with the amazing quality of handiwork that was exhibited. These are some of the most incredible designs and colors I've ever seen in quilts. Everyone is welcome to attend and there is no price for admission. Karaoke is on Saturday, Sept. 17 in The Lodge Ballroom at 5 pm. As usual, feel free to bring your dinner, snacks, and favorite beverages in with you. Get brave and try singing if you have never done Karaoke before; this is a very friendly group to practice on. Lastly, I want to encourage you all to go to the Amphitheater Grand Finale concert on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 7 pm. If you have never heard the Blue Breeze band, you're in for an amazing treat. This band is top notch. What a great show these folks put on. I hope to see you all there!
