FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2022 9 By Jerry Monahan, Board President SAY NO to the Beaumont City Summit Station. The developer of The Summit Station Warehouse Project is going to the Beaumont City Council maybe as early as the Council meeting on Aug. 16 to try to get their proposal approved by the City Council. The Beaumont Planning Commission has already voted 4-1 against approving the warehouse proposal. • The warehouse part of the project is approximately 95 percent of the project, but their communication sent to homeowners by the developer does not mention that information. • The Environmental Impact on our area is very negative. • This warehouse proposal will result in a large amount of trucks crowding our already busy roadways, and our busy and often backed up highway interchanges. The Beaumont City Planning Commission has already reviewed the warehouse proposal in July, and voted not to recommend approval of this project to the City Council after hearing information from all sides. By the time you read this article in the September Breeze, the Beaumont City Council may have reviewed the Beaumont Summit Station Warehouse Proposal. If not, it may sit on future agendas of the City Council, so please follow the project and make your position known by contacting City Council members and/or attending Council hearings. The Banning Point Warehouse Project is still ongoing. The Administrative Record is being compiled by the city of Banning. This will show all information thus far between the city of Banning and the developers, including emails, phone calls, etc. The Pass Action Group will have a Town Hall Meeting in the Sun Lakes Ballroom on Sunday, Sept. 18 at 5 pm. If you can attend, please put this information on your calendar. All the bills that have been incurred by the PAG for legal fees, supplies, etc., have been paid. PAG continues to solicit funds as the case continues and expenses are ongoing. Donations can be mailed to their Treasurer at Pass Action Group c/o Jeannie Lloyd 4832 Crenshaw Circle Banning, CA 92220 If you wish to donate, please make the checks out to the Pass Action Group.
