July's Tournament started July 25 with 32 players on eight
teams. The final four teams (pictured above) played on Wednesday
afternoon followed by the awards ceremony and weekly club social.
The Stars & Stripes team led by Richard Pede with team members
Joe Dudkowski, Ric DuDeck and Doug Murray took first place. The
results for all teams and brackets are posted in the Bulletin Board
at court side. Each team had at least one player who joined the club
in 2022 and one where this was their first tournament. The next
Tournament will be Oct. 10 thru 12 with sign-ups starting Sept. 14.
July bocce count of 210 was the first time the count was over 200
since April's 223 total. John Abdelaziz in 1st place, Tom Silva 2nd
and Bob Goldsten 3rd. For the ladies Fran Goldstein is 1st place,
Joan Comito 2nd place and Mary Yotter 3rd place. Congratulations
to five players who made their first bocce in July: Debbie Wills*,
Grace Spencer, Jeff Powell**, Ken Trogdon*, and Sara Stewart. *– 1st
