Craft Fair Reservations Applications for tables at the 26th Annual Craft Fair, scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 5, will be accepted from Colony crafters only. ONLY items handmade or handcrafted by Colony residents will be allowed. Tables will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Because of space limitations in the Auditorium, please remember that we will not be able to assign more than one table per person until all residents wishing to participate have been accommodated. If there are any available tables on Monday, Oct. 10, applications will be accepted from family members of Colony residents, who must be accompanied by the Colony resident. Again, all items must be handmade or handcrafted by the seller. Forms are available in my office. Please complete and return to me by Friday, Oct. 21. (If you completed the form via eBlast, you do not need to submit a paper application.) Friendsgiving Thursday, Nov. 17, 11:30 am Friendsgiving is about spending time and breaking bread with old friends and making new ones. Invite a neighbor to join you for this pre-Thanksgiving lunch with all the traditional fixings, catered by our friends at the VFW, in the Auditorium at noon. Long tables will be set up family style and seats will not be assigned. Tickets are $15 a person and available in the Activities office. KARA'S KORNER | THE COLONY NEWS | OCTOBER 2022 | 25 UPCOMING EVENTS… OPEN TO ALL! OKTOBERFEST Saturday, Oct. 1, 6:30 pm It's almost Oktober! Do you know where your lederhosen are? We do, and we hope you'll join us for authentic Bavarian Oompah band, dancing, great food and cash bar at Oktoberfest in das Klubhaus. $25 per person payable to The Colony HOA. Tables may still be available! The colony health fair Saturday, Oct. 15, 10 am - 1 pm Mark your calendar for this very popular annual event. It's free, and will take place in the Clubhouse from 10 am to 1 pm. There will be flu shots, and lots of goodies are always available from the vendors. Tom Bloom will once again generously supply and barbecue hamburgers and hot dogs for us. Jonnie fox & the satinettes Saturday, Oct. 15 Grab a hamburger and a seat after the Health Fair and enjoy our favorite ladies singing songs from the past. Jonnie Fox and her two backup singers are sure to have you up and dancing, just like the good old days! This is a free event held on the patio. Halloween Spooktacular Saturday, Oct. 29, 6 - 10 pm The goblins are haunting The monsters will mash, It's time to get ready for A Halloween bash! Tickets are $25. Costume contest winner gets two tickets to the Christmas Ball or New Years Eve party! Grab a flyer near the activities office for more details. Still got questions? Want to help? Leila is very grateful for her loyal and supportive fans over the years. She is looking forward to hosting small groups of friends in her home where she will still perform with her Kawai grand piano.
