12 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | OCTOBER 2022 |
As of this writing, we here in Four Seasons
are watching the Fairview Fire on the
southeast side of Hemet and has consumed
almost 20,000 acres. It is a reminder that
wildfire events can occur at any time and
grow large quickly.
On Thurs., Oct. 20 at 12 pm, attend
a presentation in the Ballroom about
earthquake and fire mitigation. This is the
day of the Great Shakeout in the USA. As
you know, earthquakes and fires are some of
the major disasters that we must prepare for
here in Four Seasons.
Our presentation will cover:
• Making your home earthquake resistant
to prevent injury to house members
• What you need to buy to survive the loss
of power, phone, and water for several
days.
• Update to the Four Seasons Fire
Mitigation project
• Threat assessment of vegetation in Four
Seasons and adjacent properties
• New CA regulations requiring updates
to attic vents, gutter shield, and
landscaping that are needed to sell a
house in a fire zone.
• Firewise USA
• And more.

Federal Emergency Management Agency
(FEMA) has officially recognized CERT as
an important part of a community's disaster
preparedness readiness.
Four Seasons CERT continues to need
your participation. Become a Street Captain
