| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | OCTOBER 2022 | 13 Library Committee Welcome to October! Fall is in full swing, and so is your Four Seasons Library. Fall is a season of color with the changing fall leaves. The library is a colorful place too, with its great variety of books in their eye-catching jackets and the lovely pictures on the puzzle boxes. Next time you are in The Lodge, stop in and see for yourself. Are you aware that all the materials in the library have been donated by our residents? Thanks to those who continue to bring in books, puzzles, and magazines for the community to enjoy. Keep in mind, however, that there are specific copyright dates for the acceptance of these items: Hardcover books: 2013 - 2022; Paperback books: 2019 - 2022; and Magazines: within the past three months. Current dates are determined by the number of qualified items being donated and the amount of shelf space available. The dates change with time, so be sure to check the monthly library report in the Herald and the signs posted on the storage bins in back of the library. If your materials are too old, please take them to the Hemet Public Library, Salvation Army, Goodwill, Simpson Senior Center, or some other location. There are several new Library Committee members to help keep your library looking beautiful and functioning at peak efficiency. Please join us in welcoming Jack Anderson, Christine Cole-Weaver, and Carolynn Irvine. The complete committee membership list can be found in the back of the Herald. We each work in the library on our own personal schedules throughout the week and appreciate seeing residents using this wonderful Four Seasons resource. Here is an important question: Are YOU an author or aware of neighbors who write? At least 10 of your fellow residents are authors who have published books, either professionally or self-published! We are very proud to feature the works and pictures of resident authors in the library. Some of these talented individuals have done authors' talks for the community. We hope you enjoyed listening to Howard Feigenbaum in September. If you are an author, the library committee wants to know! ~ Betty Crase Library suggestion box. It was requested that we have new Clive Cussler's books. Anyone willing to donate any? Also requested was James Patterson's Women's Murder Club, #10 & #11. At this time almost all of Patterson's books are out. His books are very popular, so please return them as soon as you're done! ~ Cookie
