FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2022 7 By Cindy Graves What a fun, spooky, harvest month October is. We start the month with the African American Cultural Club (AACC) and HOA- sponsored Jazz Under the Stars Concert in the Amphitheater on Saturday, Oct. 1 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The Rodney Taylor Band will light the night on fire with their incredible rockin' jazz sounds. Everyone is welcome to come on down and immerse yourselves in this "no-cost-to-you fun evening." I'm not sure whether or not AACC will also be providing extra little surprises for the concert or not, as they have done in previous years. Come and see for yourself. Friday, Oct. 7 from 6 to 8 pm will be the "Latin Beats Dance and More" in The Lodge Ballroom, hosted by the ever-popular Phil and Elizabeth Westbrook. Come and enjoy the fun even if you don't dance. The very next day, Saturday, Oct. 8 will be the HOA Garage Sale from 8 am to 2 pm. You may pick-up a Garage Sale permit application at The Lodge front desk for $7 (which includes being on our large Garage Sale map as well as advertising). The last day to sign-up is Monday, Oct. 3. After your fun day treasure hunting at the Garage Sale, come and enjoy an additional dance night with the Heart and Soul sponsored "Evening of Dance and Song" in The Lodge Ballroom. This event is at no cost to you and all are welcome. This is Oct. 8 at 5:30 pm. Thank you Priscilla and the Heart and Soul dance class. On Saturday, Oct. 15 from 9 am to 2 pm is the Fall Craft Boutique in The Lodge Ballroom. If you've never been to our Craft Boutique, you will be blown away at the level of talent and creativity displayed by our crafting, woodworking, and artistic resident vendors. Come and find a unique and beautiful gift for someone special. Gail is back again this month with the super-fun game night Majority Rules! This hilarious free evening of neighbors competing, takes place on Friday, Oct. 21 at 6 pm. A great night is always had by all. Prizes are awarded to the winners. Check out the latest info on the Kopper Kettle's special dinner buffet offering for the event. I believe that the Mexican buffet and Margarita Bar will be back by popular demand! Karaoke will take place this month on Tuesday, Oct. 4 at 6 pm and Saturday, Oct. 22 at 5 pm in The Lodge Ballroom. Bring a song to sing that will impress and surprise your friends with what a Karaoke celebrity you are! Finally, don't miss the "Fear Seasons Spooktacular" on Monday, Oct. 31. We'll begin the festivities at 6 pm with the Ghoulish Golf- Cart parade. Line-up starts at 5:30 pm and the judging for the best carts will take place at 5:45 pm. There will then be a dance and party on The Lodge loggia from 6 to 10 pm. Don't worry golf carts, we'll be waiting for you back at the party! American-Made, the band that everyone loved last year, will be back in costume performing for us. There is no charge for admittance. We can't wait to see you!
