64 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | OCTOBER 2022
Our group of four-wheelers went on a Thursday run to Boulder
Basin. It's at 7,300 foot elevation and has cool weather. We left
from Four Seasons at 8:30 am. We made a pit stop at the USFS
Vista Grande Fire Station where we received a warm welcome
from the firefighters. Then we went to Boulder Basin for a picnic
lunch in the shade of the beautiful pine forest.
From Boulder Basin, the Black Mountain fire lookout station
was only a short hike. Most of us hiked to the lookout and caught
some beautiful views. Fortunately on that day there was no smoke
to report.
If this looks like fun, please join us for one our meetings. We
meet the second Tuesday of each month and go out on a 4x4 run
the following Thursday.
With the weather expected to cool, we have some desert fun
coming up too.
