LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS Thurs., Oct. 13, 5 to 7 pm in the Abravanel Hall. CONCERT ON THE GREENS Sat., Oct. 15, 3:30 to 5:30 pm between the first and second holes. CANDLE MAKING CLASS Sun., Oct. 23, 1 - 3 pm. We are offering a one-day class with R Dub Candle Company in candle making, taught by the owner, Rosanne Weathers. The cost of the class is $30, checks payable to R Dub Candle Making. Each class is two hours long, includes everything you will need to make a full size, beautiful candle with lid, 100 percent soy wax, choice of high fragrance oil, and step-by-step instructions. This will be held in the Craft Room. Maximum class size is 18. Sign-up at Front Desk. Sponsored by the Recreation Dept. TRI-CITY MEDICAL LECTURE Tues., Oct. 25 and Tues., Nov. 8, 11:30 am to 2 pm. Topics to be announced. BRINGING HALLOWEEN TO OHCC Attention all residents: If you have grandchildren 12 and under it's time to think about inviting them to OHCC for Safe Trick or Treating on Sun. Oct. 30. We will meet at 5 pm at the Clubhouse for our Halloween Costume Parade, with prizes for best costume- in these age categories 0-6 years and 7-12 years. Residents who wish to participate OR have our Trick or Treaters visit your home, please email Karen: kasempa@comcast.net to be put the list. Don't delay, as fall is just around the corner! HALLOWEEN MOVIE: HOCUS POCUS Mon., Oct. 31, 2 to 4 pm in the Majorca Room. Seating is limited and costumes are encouraged. MOVIE NIGHTS Every Friday at 5 and 7:30 pm, Saturday and Sunday at 2, 5 and 7:30 pm in the Lamia Room (the former Ladies Club Room) in the Clubhouse. A variety of movie titles are shown. Call the OHCC Movie Hotline at (760) 758-1216, ext. 5. Movie brochures advertising the weekend movie showings are displayed in the wall information rack in the Clubhouse every Thursday. FINE ART, HANDCRAFTED TREASURES & FUN Nov. 12, 9 am to 1 pm in OHCC Abravanel Hall for a fun day of shopping and socializing. As we head into the fall and holiday seasons, this fair provides unique gift shopping opportunities for special family and friends. Holiday decor, oil, watercolor and pastel paintings, cell phone purses, framed glass art, sun catchers, driftwood hangings, crocheted scarves and hats along with one-of-a-kind paper card creations are just some of the artistries on display at the fair. We are so fortunate to live among so many artists in our lovely community. If you want to be a vendor, please check at the OHCC Clubhouse's front registration desk.
