PLC Annual Brunch kicks off our second "Presents for Pets." The
Meals on Wheels (MoW) partners with Helen Woodward Humane
Society's "AnimMeals" Program to provide individualized free food
delivery to those clients with pets.
Last year, PLC members decided to donate gifts for those clients
who seldom can afford gifts for their pets and may have no family.
We paired up with our local MoW who collected "Wish Lists" from
pet parents. Our speaker at the brunch was Taylor Casey from Meals
on Wheels. They are collecting the wish lists which will be posted
on the pet lovers club website, ohccdg.wixsite.com/ohcc-petlovers,
around mid-October.
Nov. 5 is our Annual Board Meeting, where members can now also
bring their Pet Presents. Sometimes the need is for a bigger item or
a pet service, and money from checks made out to OHCC PLC will be
used to make those purchases.
This was such a rewarding event for everyone, and the MoW
Director said they had always wanted to do something like this but
didn't know quite how to go about it.

Inspiration Hill
As we walk the trail at Inspiration Hill, we are always impressed by the varied
community inspirations as expressed on the Donor Bricks. The trail begins by honoring
our pioneer OHCC Founders, and continues with those who so bravely served us. There
are bricks honoring family members, beloved pets, and favorite universities.
What is your inspiration? The HOA continues to take orders for your own personalized
bricks. Fill out an order form at the HOA office, and include a check for $75. Your
inspiration brick will help line the trail to the top of the hill!
