6 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2022 | COMMUNITY HIGHLIGHT: OUR MARVELOUSLY MUSICAL VALLEY The Hemet/San Jacinto Valley is not the first place you would think to find professional-quality live concerts. There are no large performance halls or venues that spring to mind. But if you ask around, you'll hear that there are several local organizations that host seasons of wonderful performances just a short drive from Four Seasons. The most famous is the Ramona Bowl, located right here in Hemet. The bowl hosts the famous Ramona pageant – as well as a series of concerts and events throughout the year. You can get event schedule and details online. www. Ramonabowl.com Our local college, Mount San Jacinto, also hosts concerts and performing arts events at the San Jacinto campus featuring the talents of both faculty and students. Tickets to these events are discounted for seniors. Get this year's schedule and details at www.msjc.edu/performingarts/events.html. Last, the Hemet Concert Association – a hidden gem of Hemet – produces a season of five concerts starting in October. All concerts are performed at Tahquitz High School, which is a short three-minute drive from Four Seasons. With musical styles ranging from Latin and Jazz to Classical, these low-cost concerts are a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon and expand your musical taste. You're also sure to see many Four Seasons neighbors in the audience. Get the details at hemetconcerts.org… or pick up a brochure across from the Library in the Lodge. Thank you Mr. Don Krampe for your efforts in remembering the families affected by 911 and honoring the local police and fire personnel.
