30 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2022 | Golf Cart Club Two community favorite golf cart parades are coming up: the Halloween Golf Cart Parade and the Holiday Golf Cart Parade. I cannot believe that I am writing about the holidays; what happened to 2022? Mark your calendar for the Halloween Golf Cart Parade on Sunday evening, Oct. 30 at 6:30 pm. The Holiday Golf Cart Parade is on Sat., Dec. 10 at 4:45 pm. Just line up in the roundabout in front of the Lodge. Tracie will be sending out blasts, with a map, as a reminder! The Holiday Golf Cart Parade is timed so that you can attend the tree lighting ceremony at 5 pm and the Village Voices concert at 7 pm — a busy holiday day! The golf cart parades last about 45 minutes. Decorate those carts and show up in front of the Lodge at the designated times. These parades are very popular and a lot of fun. Come join us for a good time! Two flag postings are coming up: Veterans Day Nov. 11, all routes, and Pearl Harbor Day Dec. 7, just Four seasons and World Cup. I still could use some volunteers to serve as backup Flag Angels so if you want to help, please call me at (951) 973- 4149 or email me at mikemcla43@aol.com. ~ Mike McLaughlin By the time you receive this article we will only have three more regular games and our playoffs will be on Dec. 1. WOW! How did the season go by so quickly? On Oct. 6 we had our barbecue and I believe it was a success. We even had a few sprinkles. I would like to take this time to thank our cooks, Dave, John, Bob, Barry and Steve and Pat who jumped in to help, Remi and Marie who helped set up, serve and clean up. Of course I can't forget Bobbie, my co, who was with me every step of the way. The committee will discuss and decide soon how the playoffs will be done and what to have for the awards banquet. Remember any resident can use the courts to practice. Just go to the Lodge and the attendant will explain the procedure to use the equipment. Also, we have a group that plays on Monday and Tuesdays. Right now we play at 8:30 am, but when the weather cools down we will probably move to 9 am. As we celebrate Thanksgiving, may you be thankful for the many blessings we have. Happy Thanksgiving! If you have any questions concerning Shuffleboard give me a call at (951) 325-8357. ~ Toni Harris, Chair Shuffleboard Pickleball Morning Pickleball: Come join the fun! We play on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from 7:30 am to noon. We know you'll have as much fun as we do. Evening Only - Pickleball Club: We play on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 5 to 8 pm. We invite anyone who would like to play Pickleball to come out. We know you will have as much fun as we all do. Players of all skill levels are welcome! We don't just love playing Pickleball; our group also gets together once a month on a Sunday at The Lodge Game Room. We each bring something to eat and play the game of Sequence. This game is a card and board game: lots of fun, and even better, there's a lot of laughing going on!
