| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | NOVEMBER 2022 | 3 General Manager's Message By Rick Ruth, CMCA I want to take this time to thank all of the anonymous and mystery donors who generously donated funds and dropped off goods for my wife, Debby, and me during the loss of our home in the Fairview Fire on Labor Day. We have thanked everyone else but had no way to thank the mystery donors, so we are thanking you now! The tremendous support and words of encouragement we received from all of you is very humbling and appreciated more than you know! We are managing the challenges of the re-building process as best we can and pray that it continues smoothly. One thing that came up over the weekend that I want to mention is access into the community by your next-of-kin. We had a resident enter the hospital. His son was not on the father's permanent guest list (but had keys to the home and had been here many times) and needed access to his father's home to get some items for his dad. The situations we are faced with is allowing relatives access to your home who are not registered in dwellingLIVE. Unless the persons wanting access can prove they have authority to enter, such as a will, power of attorney or another legal document, we are not allowing access to the residence. The issue we dealt with above was urgent and time was running out. We ended up meeting the son at the father's home and escorted him in to get the copy of the father's will. The paperwork we received allowed us to enter his son into dwellingLIVE as a permanent guest. The take-away for everyone is this: • Please make sure your emergency contact information on our files is current • Please enter your contact's information into dwellingLIVE. You can drop the information off at the front desk or email it to mari.salazar@fsresidential.com • Make sure your emergency contacts are entered as permanent guests into dwellingLIVE. We are happy to assist you if needed. Another important reminder is about the U.S. flag. Many residents proudly fly them. We have spotted some flags that are showing signs of being torn or frayed at the end. This reminder is focused on those flags that need attention. Please lower your flag and inspect it for rips and/or tears in the fabric. If it's ripped, frayed or torn, please remove it from the flagpole. Damaged flags can be dropped off at the Lodge and one of our resident VFW members will collect them for proper disposal. This holiday season is going to be another really special time at the Lodge. Right after Thanksgiving, the Lodge, garden area, gazebo, and the main entry will be decorated with LED lights. The Lodge lobby as well as most of the rooms are always beautifully decorated, even the restrooms! This is what separates Four Seasons at Hemet from the neighboring communities, and everyone should be proud of that. Each year, a lot of folks give their time to transform the Lodge into a special place to be enjoyed by all. Thank you volunteers! For those of you who are new owners, you'll be delighted at the transformation. If you want to volunteer, the holiday decorating committee can always use your help. Let's take a moment to think about the things everyone should be thankful for: health, family, friends, neighbors and the wonderful community you live in. May you and your loved ones have a peaceful and blessed Thanksgiving holiday!
