The ambassadors of our New Resident Welcome Advisory
Committee would like to thank all the new residents who have
allowed them time to present them with our Welcome Book. Being
able to meet with a new resident is very rewarding. New friendships
develop, the feeling of helping someone learn all the things our
community has to offer and inviting them to join our activities is
what we enjoy doing. Right now we have 11 active members, but
ideally would like to have 15 members. If you are an owner resident,
you may apply to be an ambassador for this committee. Here is some
of what we do:
1. Meet once a month on the fourth Friday at 1 to 2 pm
2. Make suggestions for new items to be included in the Welcome
Book. Books are distributed for new residents that live on the
ambassadors street or area, if possible.
3. We schedule a visit with the new resident to present the
Welcome Book and answer questions about Solera.
4. Deliver approximately 70 Welcome Books from the end of
January to the beginning of December.
5. Host a "Social Gathering" twice a year in October and April,
for all new and existing residents.
If you would like to attend a meeting before deciding to join, please
join us for the Jan. 27, 2023, meeting.
We sent out 36 invitations to our Oct. 26 Social Gathering. As
always, we invited each Club/Group to send a representative to meet
with the new residents.
We truly enjoy hosting this event and are so thankful for everyone
who participated and helped make it a success.
