FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2022 51 Seasoned Solos Hello friends and neighbors! The Seasoned Solos started last month with wood-fired pizza hosted by the Kopper Kettle. The pizza was made fresh on site and was very good. There were also drinks, salad, fresh fruit, and a delicious dessert. The event included bingo hosted by Gail and we all had a great time. We also enjoyed a yummy breakfast at Kafe Royale in Calimesa. Our large group is always seated in an area by ourselves so we can enjoy the great conversation and food. Birthdays were celebrated at BJ's Restaurant in San Bernardino. There were 18 of us for lunch and both the food and service were wonderful. Birthday desserts were shared with the group and we all really enjoyed engaging with our neighbors. The Amphitheater concert by the Blue Breeze Band played some fun tunes and we enjoyed snacks at the pool area. With the heat on and temperatures up, several went to the Morongo Pow Wow and enjoyed the wonderful food, shopping, and the beautiful Indian dancing displaying their beautiful handmade apparel with gorgeous bead work! Our last outing was going to Lavender Nights at the 123 Farm in Cherry Valley. We make this trip every year; at night the farm takes on a new look with the hundreds of lights throughout the trees and lavender fields. We dined, had drinks, and enjoyed being together in the outdoors under the beautiful trees with the scent of lavender in the evening breeze. Join us Dec. 17 for the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra and Cirque du Noel. Our next meeting is Oct. 28 in The Lodge Arts & Crafts Room and we all hope you can stop by and meet your neighbors and make new friends. We carpool to our adventures so the fun begins while traveling and catching up with our friends. Please contact Joyce Olson at (951) 850-3055 or Nyla Cheely at (951) 285- 7112 if you have any questions or suggestions. Have a fun day! ~ Nyla Cheely We had a delightful event in September. Diva Jeanette taught us all how to make our own greeting cards. We had many materials to choose from and a variety of themes, from Christmas and birthday to any other message we chose to convey. We were inspired by the colorful designs, stickers, emblems, ribbon strips, and flowers on the tables. It was fun socializing and creating while we worked. Diva Nancy made each of us a hand-sewn gift bag in which to put our cards. Our October Diva event was a fundraiser and social event. ~ Vickie Santillan (Queenie), vickiesantillan48@gmail.com Crown Divas Red Hats Dancers at the Morongo Pow Wow Birthday girls (L-R) Marty Freeman, Nyla Cheely and Barbara Wingfield at their birthday luncheon Breakfast at Cafe Royale in Calimesa
