If you have a favorite picture that makes your heart sing, whether it's with your partner from a first date to a wedding or with your lovable pet, we would love for you to share it with our readers. Please have a caption along with the picture. Email it to FourSeasonsNews@yahoo.com and, if you have any questions, please call Courtney Taylor at (909) 797-3647. The pictures will appear in the February issue of the Breeze. FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2022 7 By Cindy Graves November, thanks to Thanksgiving, is the best month to take a pause, look around at everything you have to be grateful for, and smell the pumpkins. Do yourself a favor and put yourself on a "downer-diet" this month and be careful of how much negativity you're ingesting. Be sure to overcompensate with lots of love, laughter, and hugs! On to our November activity spotlights… Wednesday, Nov. 9 at 6 pm in the RCN, is our annual Club, Group and Class Event Lottery (for 2023). If you are a leader of one of the above entities, please attend if your group would like to have a special event or need specific dates reserved. Everyone draws a number which dictates the order in which you may choose your dates. After everyone has reserved their dates, the dates leftover are made available for private parties. Please note that if you have a regularly- scheduled meeting time already, those times will not be disrupted, so you do NOT have to come to the meeting if you do not have any additional special event dates. I'll look forward to seeing you there! Veterans Day is a big deal in this community because we think our Veterans are a big deal! On Nov. 11 at 4 pm, we will meet at the Veterans Park across from The Summit for a "Twilight Tribute to our Veterans." It will be a live musical program and we encourage you to bring your chairs. Come out and honor our wonderful Veterans. A Veterans Day Chili Cook-Off and Dinner starts at 5 pm in The Lodge Ballroom, sponsored by the Jewish Social Club. Four Seasons chili- making competitors will line up and special Veteran Judges will award the first, second, and third prizes. You will be able to purchase tickets for only $9 for a variety of delicious chili, salad, rolls, and dessert (a hearty meal indeed). Feel free to bring your favorite beverages. You can purchase tickets by contacting Nancy Justice at (951) 769-5804. Sleep fast, because there will be more festivities on Nov. 12! Meet us in The Lodge Parking lot on Nov. 12 from 10 am to 2 pm for the incredible Veterans Day Car, Motorcycle, and 4x4 Show! Rain or shine, this event will go on. There will be a food truck for breakfast and lunch, a DJ, raffles, giveaways and more! We need you to come help judge for the "People's Choice Best in Show Vehicle." This is going to be a fun day and we hope you can come by and share it with us. Happy Thanksgiving and good luck with your "downer-diets." Sorry Jan! Lovin' You...
