Let's spread gratitude! Go to the Main Clubhouse Lobby and drop your note in the box labeled "Thankful and Grateful." There are forms in the Main Clubhouse or you can fill out the box below and take that to the Main Clubhouse. You can also email sunlakesnews@ yahoo.com and write "Gratitude" in the subject line. Let's spread some sunshine! Expressing Gratitude The 80s Plus Sun Lakes members want to express our sincere and overwhelming gratitude for our 80s Plus volunteers. Without our passionate and considerate volunteers, there would not be an 80s Plus organization. Our volunteers handle all that is required for our members to attend our monthly gatherings. All we have to do is show up, be entertained, and get pampered by our volunteers. They are responsible for monthly venues, day, and time. We presently meet in the South Clubhouse on the first Saturday of the month at 3 pm. In addition, they provide for our amazing entertainment; the majority of our entertainers are Sun Lakes residents and are definitely very professional and talented. The volunteers also provide our beautiful table decorations, arrange our very delicious buffet dinners, and pamper us and wait on us throughout the evening. Our gatherings are very patriotic and we begin our evening with the Pledge of Allegiance. The volunteers assist us in sharing so much camaraderie! Our primary volunteer organizer is Diane Aarhus and her compatriots include Janie Linder Haughn, Donna Harrington, Kelvin Blackburn, Kate and Richard Johnson, Angela Monaghan, Pam Glatt, Diane Walters, LaNelle Neet, Sherry Chase, and Cheryl Steffens. My roommate and I have many health issues. Our next door neighbor takes our trash cans out which at times are too heavy for us to take to the curb. She also brings them in for us. Diane also picks up leaves for homes on our street. ~ Arlinda and Mary I'm grateful for Barry Schwartz for giving great advice to the Master Board in choosing new carpeting for the Ballroom and Restaurant. ~ Linda Vieira I'm grateful for Jaime and Craig. They are dedicated, hard-working and always courteous. They helped with audio when the Dinner Dance Club existed and have helped me when needed with many SLWGC and charity events. ~ JoAnn R. Nevins I'm thankful for our beautiful Restaurant and staff. Arianah makes sure we are seated at our favorite table with the best servers. Joseph visits and makes sure we are living our dining experience. He makes sure our Friday evening dinners are delicious and delightful.
