Young at Heart We had a great turn out for activities day. Theresa Van Haren, Sandy Richman, Suzi Robitzer and Sally Jo Schwartz did a great job of getting 17 new members for our club. Sally Jo is so talented, she made our new banner. Thank you Sally Jo for the awesome banner! We had our potluck at Music Under the Stars. The food was awesome and for sure no one went hungry. We listened and danced to Tin Man's Heart. It was a beautiful evening for this event. Dueling Pianos: Nov. 6, 4 pm, Main Clubhouse; $15 members, $20 non- members (open to all Sun Lakes residents). Make checks payable to YAH and drop off at 4713 Skyview Circle. Christmas Open House: Dec. 6, South Clubhouse: Mingle and Jingle. This is an open house for all of our Young at Heart members. Come and enjoy drinks, food and music. A flyer will be sent to all members indicating time. Young at Heart is in need of anyone who has creative ideas or would like to host an event. We need ideas for next year's events. Please don't be shy. We welcome all ideas and suggestions. We are open to new and fun activities. Celebrated artist, David Fairrington, will give a painting demonstration at the November meeting and will conduct classes on Nov. 20, Nov. 27 and Dec. 4. All of the classes will be held on Sundays in the Arts & Crafts Room in the Main Clubhouse from 12 until 3 pm. Classes are $30 for members and $35 for non- members and checks should be made payable to the Sun Lakes Art League. Members can sign up at the November meeting for these classes. You can also contact Linda Grabler at (951) 758-3142 to sign- up. The deadline to sign up to take Fairrington's classes is Nov. 16. New officers for 2023 will be elected at the November meeting. If you are interested in holding an officer or committee position, please attend this very important meeting and throw your hat into the ring.
