She first made us aware of her super star great- granddaughter ,Victoria, three years ago. She's a superstar due to her beautiful good looks as well as the thousands of photos and videos taken by her very proud parents, Michael and Jennifer. Now recently, Jennifer gave birth to another baby, her little boy (Easton). So our list of songs this month is inspired by Barb Miller's ever-expanding family. Angel Baby, Rosie & The Originals This month you can celebrate with our growing karaoke family on Fri., Nov. 22 starting from 5:30 to 6 pm in the South Clubhouse. Join Barb Miller, Rosie Ingalls & D.J. Blast and we will baby you with lots of karaoke songs to sing as well as a warm, disinfected microphone. And as Telly Savalas (Kojak) always said, "Who loves you baby?" REMINDER: Our November gathering is Nov. 5 featuring Sun Lakes dancers for those who have signed up and paid. Our October get together featured Elixir, Ellen and Dix Henneke, and the attendees loved them. Their songs included Walk Right Back, Walkin' After Midnight, Ring of Fire, Only You and added bonuses were fabulous renditions of Unchained Melody and Dream Baby. Our club loves Elixir and I had many attendees raving about how wonderful they were. In addition to sharing a great performance, they offered to continue singing when the caterers were delayed due to an accident. The membership screamed to keep singing and were rewarded with their bonus songs. Ellen and Dix, we thoroughly enjoyed and appreciate you! Thank you, thank you! The 80s Plus Club is a social club and our purpose is a once a month gathering to socialize, enjoy a catered meal, first rate entertainment and to be pampered. It is for 80 year olds and better, along with their spouses or significant others and/or guests (no matter their ages). But you're welcome if you're close in age as well. The good news and the bad news for our club is that we have been growing so fast that we have more than doubled in a year. Unfortunately, that means that we have reached a point of limited availability where we need to limit attendance at each gathering. The September gathering was the first time we had to close the event and actually turn people away who wanted to attend. So please sign up early. When we reach capacity we will take the box away and have a note out saying the event is full. Our next upcoming event is for our Christmas show. Our December gathering will be on Sat., Dec. 3. Our entertainers are Lori Battaglia Bell and Lisa Rose. They have each performed individually for our group but they have joined forces for an extra special sound, so this will be our first time hearing the two of them together. The deadline for signing up for that one is Nov. 26. It will be at 3 pm in the South Clubhouse so don't forget to get your checks to Donna Harrington at 5393 Riviera. Please make your checks out to 80s Plus Club, dinners are $16 each and our dues are $10 per year. Anyone paying their dues now will include November and December along with 2023. 80s Plus Club
