Sewing Club
Where did the year go?
It's been a great (busier) year, for which we are all very grateful.
The pictures shown are from our first luncheon meeting in two years.
It was a fun-filled, foodie extravaganza! We are looking forward to
more like this in the future.
Our monthly meeting will be on Nov. 3 at 9:30 am in the Lamia
Room. This November's crafting project will be announced at the
meeting, and a sign-up sheet will be available. We will be crafting
a surprise project for the holiday season. The meeting will be Chris
Sanderson's last hurrah as President, and we could never thank her
enough for holding us all together through the last couple of years.
We came through the times (mostly) unscathed, and are excited to
move forward with new, expanded class/workshop offerings in 2023.
Thank you, Chris!
Please help us welcome Linda Griffith as our new President in
January 2023, with Barbara Ott assisting her as Vice President. And,
now that we're getting back up to speed, in 2023 the Thursday classes
once a month will be ongoing, plus we'll be adding an occasional third
Saturday project workshop as an additional monthly offering. The
second Saturday, the sewing room will be open for all-day sewing/
knitting/whatever you need to work on. Come and stay all day or
drop in and do only what you need to – we'll be open for "business."
As always, the Kneedlers and Hookers gather on Tuesdays from
3:15 to 4:30 pm, where you can pick up a new skill, share, or visit.
Also, on Tuesday evenings (6 to 8 pm) and Fridays (12 to 3 pm)
several quilters, crocheters and sewers get together for "Sew & Chats."
Both of these gatherings are loosely structured and tend to keep us in
touch… there's always something to laugh about!
Our meetings are the first Thursday of every month at 9:30 am in
the Lamia Room. They last just about an hour and there's always
the fun of show and tell! Please note: there will be no meeting in
December.
If you are interested in participating in our activities and are not
sure who to reach out to for further information, please call Chris
Sanderson (858) 442-1834, or MaryLu Belisle (952) 454-1931 for
more information. Also, please visit our website, lovingly updated by
