20 | Four Seasons Hemet Herald | DECEMBER 2022 | The Four Seasons Ladies Club wishes everyone happy holidays. This is the end of our club year as well and WHAT a year. We've had guest speakers, attended Play With Your Food, games, movie dates, breakfast with Francisco, attending a formal tea, a trip to Oak Glen and held, "A Day at the Fair," for all Four Seasons women! And laughter was part of all activities. Our "Fair," was enjoyed by all who came. The attendance was huge with everyone playing games. Corn hole was so popular, I never was able to play. Our bakers outdid themselves providing yummy treats! The quilts were absolutely stunning and the garden club showed off some fine greener. We thank Sharon Deuber for organizing their attendance. We invite all of you who enjoyed being at the Fair to consider joining us the fourth Monday of each month at 2 pm and become one of our ladies. Everyone needs more laughter in their life. And more girlfriends! We are busy setting up our holiday luncheon. This year we will meet on Dec. 6 at Rocking K Ranch. Our holiday luncheons are so much fun. At that time we will know our new Board members. I've enjoyed being your Ladies Club reporter. Thank you for putting up with me. We want to thank, Debbie Foster, (805-406-6581), our president, for her dedication to our club. I've seen the extra work she has done each month along with all the telephone calls. Though Debbie is ending her presidential run this December, you can still call her with any questions you have about our club until January. She is quite a woman. Sheryl Cooley helped us with our philanthropic side, with Valley Restart. A big thank you! She is in touch with them and knows what they need and delivers our donations. They are actually in need of diapers at this time. Members of our club can join us on our outings. No guests please. You can be a one-time guest at our monthly meetings. To be a member, you pay your yearly dues and come to our monthly meetings when possible. It's been fun! ~ Cookie FS Ladies Club Needle Me It's hard to believe that December is here already. It has been a very interesting year for our group; these ladies never cease to amaze me. The pictures included with this month's article are yet another shining example of a combination of different needlework crafts. Helen Taylor made this beautiful Japanese Kimono Jacket in a Kimono class that she took. The jacket is lined and trimmed with upholstery fabric. Stitching was done in Sashiko stitches while the pattern on the back was done using the Boro technique. Truly a gorgeous creation! As you can see, we are not committed to doing just one type of needlecraft. Everyone in the group does their own thing, and they are always willing to share their knowledge and talents. Anyone is welcome, even if you just want to stop by to see what everyone is working on. We meet on the first and fourth Friday of each month in the Arts & Crafts Room at 1 pm. If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact Bobbie Davis at (951) 223-3836 or Merilyn Burnside at (951) 658-8310. Happy holidays everyone!
