Team Sunshine
Happy holidays! Team Sunshine wishes everyone a very happy
and festive holiday season! May you all enjoy special time with
family and friends. For those traveling we say, "Safe Journey."
Kindness Recognition: We're certain many of you witness acts of
kindness here in our community. When you do, please stop by the
front desk at The Lodge and fill out a Kindness card. Sunshine will
take it from there and set things in motion to recognize this person
or persons.
Celebrations of Life: The Graham family held a beautiful
memorial service on Nov. 3 for David Graham, a remarkable man.
We are currently assisting Sharon Deuber in planning a Celebration
of Life for her mother Laura Roach on Dec. 12.
We have also been notified of several passings in our community:
Dana Bogdanoff, Lanny French, and Dan Squier. Sunshine has
reached out to these families to extend our condolences and offer our
assistance if they desire.
I began this article with our holiday wishes; however, I think we all
understand there are some in our community who find this time of
year depressing and not at all joyful. If you have a neighbor or friend
who is experiencing holiday sadness, please let Team Sunshine know.
We will send them a "Thinking of You" card to let them know they are
being thought of.
Prayer Requests: For those wishing prayer, a request box is
provided in the Multipurpose Room. Prayer cards are provided. If
you are interested in joining the prayer group, please call Marietta
Ruppaner.
How to contact Team Sunshine: Caring Connection cards with
details of Team Sunshine's services are available at The Lodge. You
may also call Co-Chairs Brenda Beers at (951) 306-6670 or Margie
Culton at (951) 491-4058.
Closing Thoughts: "The year end brings no greater pleasure than
the opportunity to express to you season's greetings and good wishes.
May your holidays and new year be filled with joy. ~ Charles Dickens
"With each sunrise, we are given a
chance for a new beginning!"
