This is the happy and glorious month of December, with 31 days to close out the year feeling joyful and the chance to start the new year clean slated. This is the time to make amends, ask for forgiveness, forgive others, or complete a difficult task and the list goes on and on, right? So let's get it done and then we can party on New Year's Eve, the event of the year, clear minded in our own safe and local Four Seasons Ballroom. Thanks to you residents who use and enjoy the Bistro, which is owned by the very congenial Francisco Aguirre, and his wife Margarita. They are assisted by their son Frank and their faithful and capable staff members seven days a week for our enjoyment. I need to remind you, the Bistro was set up for more of a coffee shop atmosphere, yet, somehow he manages to feed over 200 people in the Ballroom from that tiny kitchen. He has grown each year by adjusting to your requests — it doesn't get changed over night but that doesn't mean he's not working on it. We on the Bistro committee are so happy to be the liaisons to answer basic questions for your events; after the food discussion, we give details to Francisco, he gives us a quote, then we email an invoice proposal to you. If changes are needed, those are discussed until all are in agreement, and, in the end, Francisco gets to spend much more needed time in his kitchen. The thankful and lucky winners of the Bistro Brunch for Two are Cynthia and Orville Ellingworth, and drawing the lucky ticket for them was Rick Adkins. If you need to buy a gift, the Bistro has gift certificates. However, if the recipient is not a resident, he or she must be accompanied by a resident to dine at the Bistro. Residents must accompany all non- resident guests at all Four Seasons facilities such as the pool, tennis courts, library, gym, etc. We wish you all the merriment and blessings of Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa and for fulfillment of dreams for a wonderful and glorious new 2023!
