Ladies Golf By Judy Lebovitz, 951-461-0065 Men's Golf By Sam Currie, 951-461-0801 By the time you read this, our November Pancake Breakfast will have been held, and it was another well-attended event for raising money for Murrieta High School's scholarships. I know those students receiving the scholarships in the past have been very appreciative of the helping hand in college costs, and we will certainly strive to continue to provide those funds. Our Awards Dinner takes place at this time of the year, specifically in early December, during which we recognize both the winners of our various competitions during the year and all those club members who went that extra mile in supporting CMGC activities. Those trophies are ready and waiting to be presented. Winners will be announced in the January issue of The Colony News. Remember to sign up for continuing membership during 2023 and, for potential new members, signing up in December provides membership for both December play and throughout 2023! For further membership information, please contact Bill Connelly at 760-861-4831. I hope everyone had a happy Thanksgiving. It is my favorite holiday and gives us a chance to remember all the things we are so thankful for. One of the things I am thankful for are all my friends in the Ladies Golf Club. We had such a nice November luncheon with good food and friendship. The slate of officers for next year's Board was presented to us, and we are thankful that so many ladies stepped up to take a position on the Board or a committee chair. The installation of officers will take place at our December meeting. There will be no golf that day, just a day to celebrate the holidays and our great friendship with each other. We support the two local food pantries, so please remember to bring your food items to the luncheon. We continue to meet at 8 am and hope you will consider joining us. Our membership chair, Peggy Clendenen, will be happy to give you information regarding membership. Please call her at 951- 696-2169.
