Judy and Tom Brackin hosted another exciting Paddle Tennis
tournament on Nov. 4. There was a touch of winter in the air,
but that did not stop the players from having good competition
and lots of fun. Judy and Tom provided a fantastic, sort-of-
healthy breakfast which kept the energy level high.
All of the winners are multiple sport players. Jeanne Bender
(paddle tennis, tennis, bocce ball) and Karen Nichols (paddle
tennis, pickleball, tennis) tied for the Ladies' division and Joey
Santiago (paddle tennis, tennis, pickleball) won the Men's. That
speaks well of the level of fitness in our TCRC group.
On Nov. 9, Kris Smith and Mary Crockett hosted the Ladies
Luncheon with the fitting post-election theme of "Camaraderie."
The November Racquet Club dinner was a home-cooked
Thanksgiving feast prepared by Ellen Micheli, Gwenn Ryan
and their gang of volunteers. A big thank you to everyone who
contributed to the wonderful meal.
On a personal note: This is my last monthly Racquet Club
article. Thanks for the positive feedback that you have sent my
way during the past year.
