| LIFE IN SOLERA | DECEMBER 2022 | 21 This is a weekly group made up of generally men, but women are always welcome. Our focus is on conversation and friendship. We meet every Wednesday in the Clubhouse between 8 and 9 am in the Arts & Crafts Room. It is typically a group of 10 to 20 people. The group is led by a facilitator who ensures that everyone will have the opportunity to talk and encourages conversation. We have very interesting and diverse conversations. There are countless benefits you'll enjoy by joining this group, and they can vary from person to person. For more information about The Coffee Group, please contact George Vawter at (909) 253-3318 or via email hbwisenheimer1@ yahoo.com. Come and check us out, and feel free to bring your favorite coffee mug! COFFEE GROUP BON APPETIT CLUB In November, we held our last official meeting of the year. During our meeting we elected our new 2023 Board and had our yearly potluck. Our foodie members brought many delicious dishes, everything from main dishes, sides to desserts. Thank you to all who contributed. We want to congratulate our new 2023 Board members: Pam Davidson, President; Eileen Kosmicki, Vice President; Bianca Ralston, Secretary; and Mary Puchalski, Treasurer. We would like to thank them for running and know they will do an outstanding job. They look forward to continuing the fun and add some new and exciting demonstrations in the coming year. The grand finale for the year will be our Holiday Luncheon at Yucaipa Valley Golf Club located at 33725 Chapman Heights Road, Yucaipa. Our members and guests will enjoy a celebration of the season with a delicious luncheon, entertainment and smiles all around. I want to personally thank our current Board members, Pam Davidson, Bianca Ralston, and Mary Puchalski for their hard work and support for the past year. As I close with the last Life in Solera article for 2022, I want to thank you for your support during the past year as President. I met many wonderful people and will carry many wonderful memories with me. Please let me wish all of you a very joyous holiday season and a happy 2023. As always, all the best from Bon Appetit! ~ Louise Sesto, President, Pam Davidson, Vice President, Bianca Ralston, Secretary, Mary Puchalski, Treasurer Our annual Christmas Party on Dec. 10 will feature a delicious catered dinner by Thomas Catering, a DJ for music and dancing, and a wine prize for one lucky member at each table. Additionally, the members attending this event will have an opportunity to donate to a wonderful charity that our club is sponsoring: The Ronald McDonald House. A previous club donation to this incredible charity netted over $1,000. It was heartwarming and very moving to be able to present a check in person to the staff of the Inland Empire House in Loma Linda and take a guided tour of the facility. The December event will be our last event of 2022. Current plans for the start of 2023 include a Chinese New Year in January and a Valentine event in February. Looking ahead to March 2023, we will have our Annual Membership Party that will provide new and current members the opportunity to renew their membership for April 2023 to March 2024.
